What is Nordea Progres?

Nordea Progres is a unique savings account now available on the market, maintained in PLN, EUR and USD, with an unspecified term of deposit, allowing the holder to effectively manage his/her savings.
The lack of any limitations in the disposal of funds accumulated on the account, combined with an interest higher than on term deposit accounts makes Nordea Progres an attractive alternative to traditional term accounts.

Disposal of the funds

The account holder is not limited by the date of depositing funds on the account, he or she may at any time withdraw the whole or part of the accumulated funds or may decide to deposit additional funds. The account holder can make use of the account by giving his/her instructions at the bank branch, by telephone and via the Internet.

The interest rate

The Nordea Progres account carries a floating interest rate that depends on the value of the funds accumulated on the account, so that the bigger the funds the higher the rate. Interest is calculated on a daily basis, at the rate applicable to the specific value range of the daily balance of the Nordea Progres account. The value ranges are specified below.

The capitalisation of interest is made after the end of a calendar quarter. Interest can be added to the auxiliary account used to support the Nordea Progres account or it can be added to the Nordea Progres account itself.

Withdrawals of funds

Payments and withdrawals can be made in any amount at any moment. If you withdraw money, you do not lose any accrued interest. No fee for first withdrawal in a calendar month. The bank will charge a fee on every subsequent transfer at the rate of 0.2% of the transferred amount, though no less than 10 PLN.

However, all transfers to the following deposit products are free of charge:

  • a Nordea Profit Plus, Nordea Investor policy or any other   bancassurance product
  • bonds issued by Nordea Bank Polska 
  • a deposit with Nordea Bank Polska S.A. with the maturity period of at least 6 months.

To use any of these products, contact the Customer Service Center or the nearest Branch on the date when you made the withdrawal from your Nordea Progress account.
