Safe electronic banking with Nordea
Nordea Bank uses a number of protection elements of the latest generation, which guarantees total security in the electronic banking system.
This is a safe connection to your account through the Internet:

Transmission coding
A connection with your account is a coded transmission. Thanks to that, all information you send to or receive is available only and exclusively for you. We use strong coding with SSL algorithm of at least 128-bite key. All transactions you make in your account require an additional authorisation every time.
Customer identification
Authorisation is a process of customer`s authenticity verification.
Nordea wants our customers to be identified and authorised with the same safety package via internet, mobile or stationary phone. Thanks to that, you don`t have to remember a number of passwords.
Safety package
The safety package is composed of:
- identification number (at least 10 digits) - assigned by the Bank
- a single unique password generated every time by the token or input from an authentication card - only with this password you may access your account and authorise your transactions.
- You decide on your own if you want to use an athorisation card or a token.
Authentication card
It is a card with imprinted access codes used to authorise transactions made via the internet. The authorisation card is assigned to one person. It comprises a list of 80 access codes bearing subsequent numbers. The system automatically controls which passwords from the card are already used and prompts for a specific number from the list.
Token
The token is an electronic device of a size of a small calculator. It generates a special course of digits which is needed to confirm each transaction that you want to make via the internet. A token may be used only by a person it has been assigned to.
An access to the token is additionally protected with PIN, which is known only to the customer and which may be changed only by the customer.
Blocking an access to the system
Several wrong authorisations of the customer in the course of logging-in results in blocking his access to the system. If you want to unblock the access please call at Nordea transaction line.
Any time you may block an access to your account, for example when you have lost your authentication card or token.
