Nordea e-account among the best–secured e-accounts in Poland

The e-account offered by Nordea Bank Polska ranked second in the ranking of the best-secured on-line banking systems prepared by the top industry magazine Chip.

Analysed were protection systems used in 18 Internet accounts offered by Polish banks. The chief features assessed included protection against password-theft Trojan horses (special software tracing computer user’s activity), protection against the theft of data sent by via the safe protocol SSL, the level of security upon logging to the system and the protection of transactions.

The system of protection against unauthorised access to the account and the transaction module used in Nordea’s e-account was assessed very well. Stressed were the benefits of the list of unique, single-use passwords the system demands both upon logging and during transaction authorisation. The list of passwords e-account users get has been recently additionally protected with non-transparent protective film (which must be removed for the user to access the password).

In comparison with the other Internet accounts, Nordea’s e-account is also marked by one of the shortest times after which the user is automatically logged out from the banking system. This is especially important for absent-minded persons who use banking services via generally available computers.
