Mortgage loans - Nordea Bank has reached a leading position

According to data announced by the Association of Polish Banks and presented by the „Rzeczpospolita” daily, between January and 2010, Nordea Bank Polska granted almost 1,4 billion zlotys of mortgage loans, placing the Bank in the third position on the market. In terms of the sale of mortgage loans, Nordea Bank was outdone only by PKO BP and Getin Noble Bank. This marks a continuation of Nordea’s outstanding position on the market of mortgage loans ever since last year, when the bank granted a total of 3,134 billion zlotys of such loans.

This high position follows, among others, from the fact that Nordea Bank has been one of the few banks on the market which, apart from mortgage loans in PLN and EUR, offers also loans in Swiss franks. What must also be pointed out is the high quality of Nordea’s loan portfolio with the bad loan ratio amounting to less than 1 percent.

Nordea Bank is followed in the ranking organized by the Association of Polish Banks by such banks as Pekao S.A., Deutsche Bank PBC, Millennium and ING Bank Śląski.
